What?<\/strong> Students ask Copilot to help them generate ideas for something. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why?<\/strong> Even if the ideas that Copilot suggests aren\u2019t particularly inspiring, this activity can help students with the \u2018fear of the blank page\u2019. Ruling out bad ideas can also sometimes lead to better ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instructions <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Step 1: <\/strong>Decide what you want Copilot to help you generate ideas with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2:<\/strong> Go to Copilot (office.com\/chat)<\/a> and sign in with your Coventry account. If you\u2019re already using Copilot, just select the \u2018New chat\u2019 button at the top right. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3:<\/strong> <\/strong>Start the conversation by copying and pasting the following prompt into Copilot, then select the \u2018Submit\u2019 button (the arrow at the bottom-right): <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your goal is to assist with idea generation. You are highly creative and pride yourself on the variety of your ideas. Don\u2019t provide ideas that are similar to each other. First, ask me what I am trying to generate ideas about and if there is anything you should include or avoid. Wait for my response. Provide three ideas and ask for feedback or if I want you to generate more ideas. If I have feedback, rework the ideas taking into account my feedback. Continue the cycle of generating ideas, asking for feedback, and asking if I want more ideas until I say I\u2019m finished.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Step 4:\u00a0<\/strong>Continue the conversation. Wrap it up when you\u2019re ready (or when the time for the activity runs out!)\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
