Beauty means feeling comfortable with your own skills, being confident in yourself and appreciating your imperfections.

Well, beauty is a six-letter word, and a loaded one, especially when it comes to working in the creative industries, but, while there’s the adage that it’s ‘in the eye of the beholder’, some argue that what is (and isn’t beautiful) is far from subjective.

Aesthetically pleasing designs are bringing up positive attitude in the users. It makes them care more about the product. Aesthetic design makes people more loyal of the brand and tolerant toward mistakes or failures.

Therefore, the notion of beauty as either a representation of subjective, aesthetic pleasure or something purely aesthetic with little intellectual or conceptual underpinning, is something that the designers who consider their role as simply “problem solving” might want to rethink.

“Beauty is the illumination of your soul.”

John O’Donohue

If I have to say what is Beauty then I would say that it could be something imperfect but perfect in the way it is made.
Beauty is not only external but above all internal, is something more abstract, less concrete, and more extended to any reality, beauty is without borders, without color, and without precise and unequivocal rules.
Each Graphic Designer has their style to demonstrate the role of beauty in their work, they might take some inspiration from someone’s else existing work, but it won’t be the same because it’s made by a different individual. They will take into consideration the context and the requirement of their audience.
