Gibbs reflection

As a master’s student in global healthcare management, I had the opportunity to explore numerous facets of the fields during my first and second semesters. My first semester experience was working as a team to complete course work about globalization and its impact on health. I was unable to work together efficiently with the team, which impaired my marks.

Critical thinking, team management, resource management, and effective communication were among the primary areas I concentrated on. To further my knowledge and skills, I participated in some CPD courses that focused on team management and effective communication. One memorable instance in which critical thinking was essential was during a complex project focused on healthcare system optimization.

FEELING

I was both excited and nervous at the start of the endeavor. While I realize the need of critical thinking in such a task, I also recognize the difficulties it may present. I wanted to make sure that my contributions were well-reasoned and significant, which added some pressure.

EVALUATION

Reflecting on the assignment, I discovered that my descriptive abilities and timely completion of coursework were my significant strengths, as seen by feedback. However, I recognized the need to improve my critical thinking skills. Critical thinking a core in education (Mcpeck, 2016)

ANALYSIS

When I examined the factors that drove my critical thinking, I discovered that I relied heavily on existing knowledge and theories rather than investigating new frameworks. This hampered my ability to think creatively and investigate other alternatives.

ACTION PLAN

I created a SMART action plan to target my area of development. I will actively seek opportunities to practice critical thinking skills, such as analyzing real-world case studies or reviewing research publications.

In conclusion, by setting explicit goals, devoting regular practice time, and relating critical thinking development to my academic and professional ambitions.
