Education at Coventry University

Coventry University has provided occupational therapy education for nearly 30 years, during this time we have developed and grown and now offer a wide ranging portfolio. There are a variety of routes to becoming an occupational therapist, including undergraduate, apprenticeship and postgraduate courses.

At Coventry University we offer a BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy full-time, an integrated apprenticeship and MSc pre-registration Occupational Therapy course. The courses offer students a wide range of educationally transformative learning opportunities and innovative modules designed to further enhance graduate employability in dynamic health and social care environments.

To do this we work along our experts in professional practice and service users to provide opportunities for inter-professional collaborative education and international learning opportunities.

The pace and scale of digital technology and technology enabled learning present us with new ways to collaborate across the globe and we are embracing the idea of education without borders recognising that learning takes place within the university, on practice placements and digital platforms giving students invaluable experiences.

We are focused on creating healthcare professionals that are global in outlook and local in impact and therefore embedding international and intercultural experiences into the curricula at every level is a vital element.

It enables us to support students to develop knowledge and engage in activities and approaches that develop their own intercultural competencies, recognising and embracing diversity.
