Hello! My name is Lauren Hutchinson, and I am currently a third-year student at Coventry University, where I am pursuing a degree in Sociology and Criminology. My journey into these fields has been deeply influenced by my own experiences with disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anorexia Nervosa and ADHD. Having faced discrimination and misunderstanding because of my conditions, I have developed a strong desire to create positive change for others who may be marginalised or overlooked in society.

Hobbies and Interests

Aside from my academic pursuits, I have a wide range of interests that enable me to express my creativity and show love for the things and beings I care about. I have a deep passion for caring for my animals and supporting my family. Music is another important part of my life, whether it’s listening to different genres or studying how it shapes and mirrors society and culture. I also have a keen interest in fashion journalism, as it combines my love of style with a desire to explore the cultural and social implications of fashion. Additionally, I find acting to be a powerful way to express my thoughts and emotions, allowing me to explore different perspectives and communicate in an artistic way. The hobbies and interests that I follow not only enrich my own life but also inform my approach to my studies, developing a holistic perspective on both societal challenges and personal expression.
