The development of custom hardware is not a central aspects of E2-Create. Nevertheless, the design of wearable sensors plays a useful role in recording and digitising the activities of dancers. These designs are briefly mentioned here.

Pressure Sensitive Shoes

In the context of the Sounding Feet project, regular shoes and inlay soles have been augmented with electronics and sensors. This augmentation serves the purpose of sensing contact forces between the dancer’s feet and the ground and sending these measurement as OSC messages via Wifi to a client computer.
